Wrestling Results Jan 11-12 (One Cancelled)
Weekend wrestling goes down in Newcastle, Casper, and Wind River for the in state meets. The out of state ones are at Miles City and Vernal.
Newcastle has cancelled their wrestling event for the weekend. In a release from NHS: Due to forecasted extreme weather that is expected to deteriorate throughout the day- the Newcastle Wrestling Invitational scheduled for Friday, Jan. 11 2013 has been CANCELLED!
Other events are planned for Casper and the Don Runner Memorial in Pavillion hosted by Wind River. Out of state meets are the Cowboy Invite in Miles City, Montana, and the Vernal Tournament of Champions in Utah.
Don Runner Memorial:
Wind River hosted their annual wrestling tournament Friday and Saturday. Cokeville won four different weights and took the team title. Lovell was 2nd with Rawlins third and the Riverton JV fourth.
Miles City Cowboy Invite: The Gillette Camels won the 55th edition of the Cowboy Invite in Miles City, Montana over the weekend. The Camels saw title winners in Trent Olson, Evan Smith, and Lukas Poloncic. The Camels put up 228.5 points to runner up Forsyth's 183.5. 3A Powell would finish 10th overall. Cody was 14th, Sheridan was 15th.
Vernal TOC:
Several Wyoming teams competed in the Vernal Tournament of Champions in Utah.
