Coaches and media voters took notice on what happened in Class 4A last week, since it was the only Class where games counted.

The top 2 are unchanged, and so is the gap between them. Gillette woke up in the 2nd half and the Camels would maintain their #1 ranking over #2 Sheridan. The voters were unanimous in placing Rock Springs at #3, after some late game drama last week. The Tigers will be the first opponent to visit the new stadium and field in Laramie this weekend. The last 2 spots in the top 5, are occupied by 2, 1-0 Cheyenne schools that play each other. Central is ranked #4 and hosts #5 South. The Indians and Bison have split the last 2 games, with the visiting team winning each time. This is only the second time that South has been ranked in the top 5. The other time was 2 years ago. This time around, the Bison edged out Cheyenne East by 1 vote.

Disclaimer: The rankings have no official say on post-season positioning, and are only to be used as a measuring stick on the regular season. Please don't read too much into the rankings.

As for the remaining classes, the rankings remain the same from the pre-season poll. Games played last week were either exhibitions or scrimmages and the results don't count on a teams' record.
