The latest coaches/media girls soccer rankings were shaken up based on last week's results, while the boys rankings held course for the most part.

In 4A Boys, the ranks are unchanged from last week, and #1 Laramie put some distance between themselves and #2 Gillette this past weekend. A goal in the final minute broke a 1-1 tie, and allowed the Plainsmen to seize the win. They will hit the road this week to play South and Gering, Nebraska. Meanwhile, the Camels will try to regroup at home, first vs. East, then another big one Saturday vs. #3 Central. The Indians have a tough road test, because they play at #5 Sheridan, before heading over to Camel Country. Green River holds at #4, and are now licking their wounds after getting stunned at home vs. Rock Springs. The Wolves head to Evanston on Thursday, before taking the weekend off.

Very little change happened in the 3A boys ranks...and a late game has been added to the schedule. Unanimous #1 Jackson and #2 Buffalo were scheduled to play each other on opening weekend at Worland...but Old Man Winter wanted both teams to wait. They just recently rescheduled that game, and the 2 will clash this Thursday in Lander. #4 Star Valley will then play both right afterwards. The Braves play at the Broncs on Friday, and then go to Lander on Saturday to play the Bison. As for the #3 Lander Tigers, they will play on their field as well this weekend, vs. #5 Powell and Cody, and then host #1 Jackson on Tuesday in their regular season finale.

Laramie's disastrous weekend ended their brief stay on top of the 4A girls rankings, and enabled 2 teams to jump them. The Lady Plainsmen drop to #3, while East moves back up to the top spot. Undefeated Green River is up to #2, by 1 vote ahead of last week's #1 team. Sheridan is still #4 and Gillette is back in at #5. Both are scheduled to head to Cheyenne this weekend, to play the top ranked Lady Thunderbirds.

For now, the 3A girls rankings appear to be Lander...and then everyone else. The Lady Tigers have the unanimous #1 ranking and close out their schedule with 3 straight at home vs. Powell, #4 Cody and Jackson (Friday, Saturday and Tuesday). Cody's offense was nowhere to be found last week, and they better find it quickly, because they are in the final stretch of the season. Star Valley moves up to #2 after a tie vs. Jackson and a win vs. then #3 and now #5 Worland. The Lady Braves have a tough week, as they try to finish the job on the road vs. the Lady Broncs on Friday, then head to Lander Saturday to play #3 Buffalo.
