Not only are the remaining regular season games become more important in terms of seeding for the regional tournaments...when you add in the latest coaches/media rankings...it adds to the hype.

In 4A boys, Gillette has a pretty good grip on the #1 ranking. The Camels are one of 3 teams remaining that have yet to lose. Laramie and Sheridan flip-flop positions as the Plainsmen are now #2, and the Broncs fall to #3, after last weekend's results. Green River is another unbeaten team and hold steady at #4, while Cheyenne Central barely hangs on to the #5 spot, by one vote over Kelly Walsh. This weekend will be a challenge for the Indians, as they play both Sheridan and Gillette on the road.

The big rematch lies in wait in 3A boys. #1 Jackson visits #2 Worland on Friday. #3 Buffalo is only 1 vote behind the Warriors. The Bison have picked up some momentum after a hard fought win vs. #4 Torrington last week. Lander holds at #5, and should be in for a good game this weekend home vs. unranked Star Valley.

The east has once again taken full control of the 4A Girls rankings. Green River cracked the top 5 last week, but their stay was short lived. Gillette is now on top after their 1-0 win vs. former #1, now #2 Laramie. Cheyenne Central and Sheridan holds course with their #3 and #4 rankings, while Cheyenne East is back in the top 5 at #5. It will be a matchup of top 5 teams this weekend as the Lady Camels and Lady Broncs visit the capital city.

There's also a big rematch in girls 3A this weekend...involving the same 2 teams as the boys. Worland is the place to be on Friday as the #1 Jackson Lady Broncs visit the #2 Lady Warriors. Jackson endured their first loss of the season earlier this week, courtesy of 4A Natrona. Will that affect the big game on Friday? Meanwhile, Buffalo is still the #3 team heading into this weekend's action. Torrington is finally in the rankings after a 0-0 draw on the road vs. the Lady Bison last weekend. The Lady Blazers have to share their #4 ranking with Star Valley.
