It was a close vote in the new coaches/media rankings in 3 of the 4 classes, now that most teams have at least 1 weekend of games under their belt.

One vote separated #1 from #2. The difference is that 1 team has played and the other hasn't, but that will change. #1 Sheridan played 3 games last week, and 1 this week. #2 Cheyenne East didn't play last week, and is about to play 4 games in 6 days...3 in Colorado, and then Tuesday of next week at home vs. #3 Kelly Walsh. #4 Campbell County and #5 Cheyenne Central also play in Colorado this weekend, in various tournaments.

3A is going to be a hard class to figure out. Most of the ranked teams already have a big win from this past weekend, but it got neutralized with a loss as well. Buffalo holds at #1, while Lander and Worland each move up 1 spot, to #2 and #3 respectively. Rawlins drops to #4, and Torrington is in at #5. Big games this weekend are on Saturday, when Worland visits Buffalo, and Torrington plays at Lander.

Some teams in 2A made some noise this weekend, and got the attention of the voters. Pine Bluffs is the unanimous #1 after a 4-0 weekend. #2 Glenrock and #3 Wright are also off to undefeated starts. The Panthers as well as unranked Big Horn have big games this weekend, when they play both #4 Wind River and #5 Wyoming Indian.

1A was the closest vote, as 3 votes separate #1 from #4. There's a tie for the top spot. The voters couldn't decide between Upton and Encampment, who both had impressive weekends. Although it was a JV opponent, the Bobcats beat a tough Cheyenne East team, while the Tigers mowed over 4 opponents of their own. Farson-Eden is not far behind both at #3, after winning the Bridger Valley Tournament, and #4 Burlington is hot on their heels. #5 Little Snake River take the final spot after a good weekend last week at Burns. 4 of the top 5 will play in Shoshoni this weekend, while Encampment will play at Lingle-Ft. Laramie.
