The winter break is upon most teams, and the coaches and media got in one last vote, before they take their break as well.

There are no undefeated teams left in 4A, and things will get even more interesting right after the break, as 4 of the top 5 will be in Cheyenne to play games. Kelly Walsh is still the #1 team, and new #2 Cheyenne East is has them targeted. The Thunderbirds probably haven't forgotten about last year's beat down they took in Casper. Evanston has moved up to #3 after doing enough to slow down former #2, now #4 Gillette. The Camels are the only ranked team, that will not be in the Capital City in early January. Meanwhile, Sheridan is back in the rankings at #5.

The 3A rankings got shuffled some last week. Wheatland retains the #1 ranking, despite losing their last game vs. unranked Jackson. Rawlins and Cody share the #2 spot, following their head-to-head split. The Broncs won the last meeting to extract some redemption. Douglas has been impressing some voters, and the Bearcats are now in at #4. Elsewhere, Buffalo beat Glenrock in overtime last week, but the voters couldn't decide which team to give the #5 rankings to, so they chose both.

Not every team is taking 2 weeks off, and that is evident in the 2A rankings, and on the Wind River Indian Reservation. #1 Wyoming Indian is still tops, but undefeated #2 Wind River is right behind them. The 2 teams will take part in the Fremont County Shootout next week, and don't be surprised if the 2 cross paths, in a non conference game. Rocky Mountain slips one spot to #3, but are still in a good position. Pine Bluffs moves up one to #4, while Greybull took a 2-spot tumble to #5 after getting beat by Big Horn, who just missed out.

The 1A ranks saw some movement based on last week's action. Burlington is still ranked #1, but Upton is now up to #2. Lingle-Ft. Laramie took advantage of 3 home game wins, to move up to #3, while Little Snake River dropped to #4 and Guernsey-Sunrise held at #5. The Vikings pay a visit to the Doggers the first weekend after the break.

Disclaimer: The polls have no official say or use on post-season positioning, and are only to be used as a measuring stick on the regular season. Please don’t read too much into the rankings.

Because of the winter break, the next rankings won't be released until January 14, 2015.
