There was a pretty good shakeup in the bigger classes in the latest coaches/media rankings, thanks to last week's results.

Cheyenne Central is unanimously back on top of the 4A rankings, after their convincing win vs. Gillette last week. The Camels only dropped to #2, despite losing twice last week. Not far behind them is Cheyenne South at #3, and the Bison visit Camel Country on Saturday. Rock Springs holds at #4 despite their loss last week. With all the other losses happening, the Tigers ended up taking the least amount of damage. Kelly Walsh and Cheyenne East share the #5 ranking. The Trojans are the ones with the bulleye on their back this weekend, because the games at Evanston and at Riverton this weekend, can either clear up, or further mess up the situation in the 4A West. As for the Thunderbirds, the rankings don't matter when it comes to playing Central.

The only thing that didn't change in the 3A rankings is the #1 team. Worland retains that spot, while Buffalo moves up to #2. The top 2 teams have very long road trips this weekend as they visit Wheatland and Torrington. Both of these opponents can't be overlooked. Both the Bulldogs and TrailBlazers have been inconsistent for most the season, and if the right team shows up, the opposition won't have any idea what they're dealing with. Star Valley is up to #3, and have a long road trip themselves to Park County. Douglas drops 2 spots to #4, while Rawlins and Cody share the #5 spot. Games of interest have SV at Cody on Saturday and Rawlins at Douglas on Friday.

2A and 1A only saw a little bit of movement from last week. Wind River is still the unanimous #1 in 2A. Greybull is back up to #2, after dropping the previous week. That means Pine Bluffs is down to #3, while Wyoming Indian and Big Horn hold steady at #4 and #5. Teams are finishing conference business this week, to prepare for the regional tournaments, and there's no games involving ranked team vs. ranked team this week. Unranked Big Piney has the tough task this weekend as the Punchers visit both WR and WIHS.

There's one game of big interest on the last day of the 1A season. It's a game that will probably decide the northwest, when #5 St. Stephens visits #1 Burlington on Saturday. Both teams are ranked in the same spots as they were last week. Encampment is up 1 spot to #2, heading into the final week, while Kaycee is down 1 to #3, and Upton stays put at #4.
