All games this week involve teams playing competition from within their own class, which will make for some interesting matches according to the new coaches/media rankings.

Some the focus in 4A this week will be on the Gillette teams, as Campbell County and Thunder Basin are tied for #5. Both will play #1 Sheridan in quadrant action. #2 Cheyenne East and #4 Cheyenne Central have other business to deal with, before they can focus on each other. Kelly Walsh holds at #3.

There has been a little bit of movement in the 3A rankings, but not that much. The voters came down on Worland, dropping the Warriors from #3 to #5. To their defense, they did play 4 games in 3 days at home, but they dropped 3 of 4, including 2 games vs. 2A opponents. The big game this weekend is #3 Douglas at #1 Buffalo. The Bison got a scare last weekend at home vs. Wheatland, but managed to get a W.

2A will see some excitement this weekend as unranked teams have a chance to move into the top 5. #1 Pine Bluffs has to keep their eye on unranked Glenrock, who got booted out the rankings by the voters. Wright and Wyoming Indian tie for the #2 ranking, although the Chiefs could argue for that spot, considering they beat the Panthers last month. WIHS will play arch-rival Wind River for the 2nd time in as many weeks, and that's usually something to look out for. Rocky Mountain is in the rankings this week at #5. The Grizzlies will be dealing with business in the northwest quadrant this weekend.

1A is about to get very interesting. Here comes the big test for undefeated #1 Encampment as they play #3 Cokeville and #2 Farson-Eden, back-to-back at home. #4 Upton could move up depending on the results. #5 Little Snake River will be on the road this week, vs. out of state competition.
