Like football, the coaches/media volleyball rankings no longer have any meaning, now that it's post-season time.

There's no change in 4A compared to last week. East is still the unanimous #1. Gillette remains at #2, but #3 Evanston isn't that far behind. Green River and Natrona take the #4 and #5 rankings.

It's the same 2 teams on top of 3A, while the next 3 played another round of musical chairs. Star Valley is alone at #1, followed by Jackson. Worland moves back up to #3, after winning the northeast quadrant. Rawlins keeps their #4 spot, while Buffalo drops to #5.

There's no change in the 2A rankings. Wright was #1 in every poll this season, although the last one is the only one where they were not unanimous. The defending champs have swept every 2A opponent they have faced, and haven't lost a set point to any team since early September. Lyman maintains the #2 spot, by 1 vote ahead of Shoshoni, while Big Horn and Pine Bluffs occupy the #4 and #5 positions.

1A had no changes either. Encampment is the unanimous #1 heading into the regional tournament. The Lady Tigers are followed by Kaycee, Little Snake River, Lingle-Ft. Laramie and Burlington, in that order.

Disclaimer: The polls have no official say or use on post-season positioning, and are only to be used as a measuring stick on the regular season. Please don’t read too much into the rankings.
