It's a big week in the big school classes, as many of the top ranked teams, in the new coaches/media poll, will be playing in the same place.

The only ranked 4A team that will play at home, is Natrona. The Fillies will host a pair of teams from Billings, ahead of the holiday break. Meanwhile, #2 Sheridan, co-#3's East and Gillette, and #5 Central will all be in Sweetwater County for the Flaming Gorge Classic.

As for the 3A teams...all the ranked teams will be in Lander, for match-ups of East vs. West, and all the west teams at this event, will have to run the gauntlet with ranked opponents. Douglas is the unanimous #1, with Rawlins at #2, Torrington at #4 and Wheatland at #5. The only ranked west team is Lyman at #3. On a side note...the Lady Bearcats have to adjust things, because they just lost their leading assist player, Heather Townsend, with a season-ending knee injury. Last week's #2 Star Valley, didn't even get a vote, after a not-so-great road trip to Park County last weekend.

To be #1 in the 2A rankings, you have to beat #1, and that's what Lovell did, as the Lady Bulldogs halted Tongue River's 33-game win streak, and claimed the top spot. TR slips to #2, but they have undefeated 2A Northeast rival Sundance, breathing down their neck. Burns moved up 1 spot to #4, while Kemmerer slipped a few spots to #5. Nothing big is scheduled as far as ranked team vs. ranked team this weekend.

Lingle-Ft. Laramie was widened their lead in the 1A rankings over Cokeville. Upton is a solid #3 in the 1A rankings, with Encampment and Little Snake River tied for #4.
