The coaches and media have some idea as to which teams are state championship contenders based on the rankings, but in the end the teams will have the final say.

The big games in 4A last week were in the East and there's another big one this week. Natrona is dominating the west and maintains the #1 ranking. That game to keep an eye on is when #2 Gillette visits #3 Sheridan on Friday. Both teams have been on a roll, and with Robbi Ryan back from the injured list for the Lady Broncs, that makes this matchup all the more interesting. East drops from #2 to #4 this week, and Rock Springs is back in at #5. The Lady Tigers visit NC on Saturday.

The 3A rankings only had one change. The top 3 are still the same with Worland at #1, followed by Newcastle and Mountain View. Star Valley and Pinedale trade spots at #4 and #5, with the Lady Braves getting the higher spot. MV has a busy week, because they visit the Lady Wranglers on Friday in an important game in the Southwest and then host arch-rival #1 2A Lyman.  #2 Newcastle needs to keep an eye on Douglas, who is just outside of the rankings. The Lady Bearcats visit the Dogie Dome on Saturday.

Games in 2A will be interesting this week. Lyman is still the queen of the mountain, and will play in the big inter-class game on Saturday at #3 3A Mountain View. The 2 teams that been right behind Lady Eagles in the rankings for most of the season, will finally play it out on the court. On Friday, #3 Southeast pays a visit to #2 Pine Bluffs. This is the first of their 2 meetings and a game that many will be paying attention to. Wyoming Indian moves up one spot to #4 this week, and Tongue River is back in the rankings at #5, after last week's big road win at Wright. The Lady Eagles play another important game on Friday, when they host Big Horn, who has been trying to get back on track as of late.

Like 3A, the 1A ranks only had one change, and it was a direct result of one game last week. Little Snake River takes over the #3 spot from now #4 Encampment. Elsewhere, St. Stephens is the unanimous #1. Cokeville and Kaycee hold steady at #2 and #5 respectively.
