The water is just fine for winning state championships.

The 2016 Girls Swimming State Meet will be held from Thursday, October 27th through Saturday, October 29th, at the Aquatic Center in Gillette.

All-State: There is no voting for all-state. To earn the recognition, a swimmer must either finish in the top 2 of an individual event, or be part of a 1st place relay team.

4A:

Gillette 4-peats as champs, and have won 11 of the last 12, and 19 of the last 25.

The Lady Camels set a new state record in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 1 minute 36.81 seconds. The old record was 1:37.35. The team is comprised of Sani Carsrud, Jenny Holwell, Shaylee Ochsner and Rylie Pilon.

The Lady Camels set a new state record in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 3 minutes 33.65 seconds. The old record was 3:34.36. The team is comprised of Sani Carsrud, Alaysa Porter, Taylor Baldacci and Rylie Pilon.

Lander wins their first title since 2011.

Sonsoles Aguayo of Riverton set a new 3A Record in the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 52.75 seconds. The old records was 53.16.
