Wyoming High School State Rodeo Finals

This weekend (June 23-26) is the Wyoming High School State Rodeo Finals, scheduled to be held at the state fairgrounds in Douglas. Rodeos on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, are scheduled to start at 9am and 6:30pm, with the championship short-go scheduled for Sunday at 11am.

Cowboys and cowgirls earn points, based on where they finished, at various rodeos, throughout the fall season of 2010, and the spring season of 2011. The 4 highest point totals, in each event after the State Finals, are invited to compete at the High School National Finals Rodeo, to be held at the Cam-Plex in Gillette, next month.

Winning the State Rodeo Finals, does not guarantee an invite to the HSNFR…but it can help your cause. For those that are on the bubble heading into this weekend, this is their last chance!
