A few teams have made a late season move to get into the latest coaches/media rankings, and games are becoming more important with seeding for the regional tournaments still up for grabs in some conferences.

This weekend features 2 matchups featuring #1 vs. #2 and a #1 vs. #3.

Once again, Cheyenne East is the unanimous #1. The Lady Thunderbirds have swept every Wyoming opponent this season. #2 Gillette will try to break that streak on Friday in Campbell County. Competition in the west is getting interesting. #3 Green River hits the road to play unranked Kelly Walsh and #4 Natrona on Thursday and Friday. Evanston is back in the polls at #5 after sweeping the Casper schools last week, but suffered a bit of a letdown back on Tuesday, when they got swept at 2A Lyman.

Things have settled down some in 3A, but business will pick up this weekend. #1 Star Valley has been on a roll, and look to keep it going at unranked Mountain View on Friday and home vs. #2 Jackson on Saturday. The Braves swept the Lady Broncs in Teton County a few weeks ago, and now they get them on their own court. #4 Rawlins is the team with the busy schedule this weekend. The Lady Outlaws travel to #5 Buffalo on Thursday, then return home to play #3 Worland on Friday.

The 2A title still appears to go through Wright, as the Lady Panthers are still the unanimous #1. Shoshoni jumped Lyman by 1 vote for #2, thus bumping the Lady Eagles to #3, but as mentioned earlier, Lyman just swept 4A Evanston, which is pretty impressive. Pine Bluffs has cracked the top 5 at #4, while Big Horn drops 1 spot to #5.

There's been little debate as to which teams are the top 2 in 1A...and the gap is shrinking. Kaycee remains on top, followed by Encampment. #3 Little Snake River has a big weekend, as they play #1 and #2 back to back. They host the Lady Buckaroos on Friday, and then visit the Lady Tigers on Saturday. Elsewhere in the rankings, Lingle-Ft. Laramie holds at #4, and Burlington is in the rankings for the first time this season at #5.
