Last week a couple of teams disagreed with the first coaches/media rankings of the season, and did something about it.

Based on the new 4A rankings, the Casper Invitational is going to have some very interesting competition. Two votes separate #1 from #4. Cheyenne East has to share the top spot with Laramie for now. Gillette moves up to #3 and is one vote back, while #4 Kelly Walsh is one vote back of the Lady Camels. Natrona occupies the #5 position. Let's how things shake-down after this weekend's action in Casper.

For 3A, 2A, and 1A, the #1 ranked team is unanimous.

Every 3A team is looking up at Star Valley for now. Buffalo and Douglas move up to #2 and #3 as a result of Worland tumbling a couple of spots to #4. Cody is still #5. There's not much competition on the schedule this week, for the ranked teams.

There is 1 new team ranked in 2A. Southeast pleaded their case last week and enter the rankings at #4. Wright is still on top followed by Lovell. Sundance moves up to #3, and Pine Bluffs drops to spots to #5, after losing at home vs. SE last week.

There's no change in the 1A rankings. It remains Encampment, Lingle-Ft. Laramie, Little Snake River, Farson-Eden and H.E.M. Saratoga missed out by 1 vote, and could have an argument, considering they've already beaten H.E.M. twice. Farson-Eden has a big road challenge this weekend, as they visit Encampment, Saratoga and LSR in less than 24 hours.
