AA at Jackson:

Cheyenne hosts the AA Northwest Regional Tournament, from August 3-7 and is automatically in. The State Champ also gets to compete. If Cheyenne is the state champ, then the runner-up is invited.

(#2E) Cheyenne Post 6 17 (#3W) Evanston Outlaws 6 - It was 6-6 going into the bottom of the 5th, and it was all Cheyenne after that.

Wednesday, July 27:

Rock Springs Archie Hay Post 24 8 Casper Oilers 6 10 innings - Casper Eliminated. Casper scored 1 in top 9 to tie the game, and 1 in top 10 to go ahead, but Holden Cain blasted a 3-run walk-off HR in bottom 10, to win it for RS.

Evanston Outlaws 7 Laramie Rangers 2 - Laramie Eliminated.

Sheridan Troopers 16 Gillette Roughriders 4 - Sheridan scores 8 in the 3rd.

Thursday, July 28:

Gillette Roughriders 3 Evanston Outlaws 1 - Evanston Eliminated.

Jackson Giants 23 Rock Springs Archie Hay Post 24 5 - Rock Springs Eliminated.

Gillette Roughriders 10 Jackson Giants 8 - Jackson Eliminated.

Cheyenne Post 6 18 Sheridan Troopers 2 - Cheyenne is in the championship game for the 16th time in 17 years. Didn't make it in 2014. Lost in finals in 2000 and 2008.

Friday, July 29:

Sheridan Troopers 10 Gillette Roughriders 9 10 innings - Gillette Eliminated. Sheridan is in the championship game and qualifies for the AA Northwest Regional Tournament. Gillette was up 9-2 in the 5th, but thanks to 6 errors, Sheridan would come back to tie it, and score 1 in top 10. Then in bottom 10, Gillette loaded bases with 1 out, but hit into double play to end the game. Scroll down to the bottom to see the game winning play.

Cheyenne Post 6 14 Sheridan Troopers 4 - Championship. Post 6 wins their 14th state title in 16 years. Braxton Inniss of Cheyenne named tournament MVP.

 

A at Douglas:

The A Northwest Regional Tournament will be played in Laurel, Montana, August 4-8. This year 2 Wyoming teams get to compete. The State Champ and Runner-Up are both invited.

Douglas Cats 12 Wheatland Lobos 6 - Wheatland Eliminated. Douglas is in the championship game and qualifies for the 'A' Northwest Regional Tournament. Cats score 8 in the 8th.

Cheyenne Hawks 16 Douglas Cats 9 - Championship. Max Pedroza of Cheyenne named tournament MVP.
