Now that the Easter Holiday has passed and spring break is over in most areas...a number of soccer teams get back to work this week, with most of the action taking place in 4A.

4A Boys:

Since the East Conference still dominates all 5 spots in the latest rankings, it's a big weekend as 4 of the top 5 teams play each other. #1 East and #4 Central, travel to play #2 Gillette and #5 Sheridan. East actually dropped their first game of the season and gave up their first 3 goals of the season against Gering, Nebraska back on Tuesday. Laramie holds at #3 and will play at South on Thursday.

3A Boys:

There was a little bit of movement in the top 5 as Buffalo took the #2 ranking away from Lander, by 1 vote, bumping the Tigers down to #3. It mostly in part to the Bison's tie with a 4A team (Sheridan) last week, combined with Lander's tie vs. unranked Rawlins. Jackson is still #1 even though they are in the middle of a 4 week break on their schedule. The Broncs got all but 1 first place vote. Worland (got the 1) and Star Valley retain the #4 and #5 spots.

4A Girls:

Several votes had already been cast, before very late word spread that Gillette's loss last week vs. 3A Buffalo, was actually the Lady Camels' JV squad, and that the varsity did not play in that game (Gillette had 1 game too many on their schedule, so they gave 1 game to the JV players). So they drop to #5, but will have 2 chances this weekend to make-up for it...at #4 Central on Friday and at #3 East on Saturday. Laramie takes over the #1 spot after winning at current #2 Natrona last week. The Lady Plainsmen finally get to play a home match on Friday, when they host South. NC will play 3 games in 3 days this weekend...at Riverton Thursday, home vs. Evanston on Friday (make-up from a snow out 2 weeks ago), and then home vs. Rock Springs on Saturday.

3A Girls:

Star Valley is now #3, by 1 vote ahead of Lander who is #4, after the 2 teams switched spots. Cody, Jackson and Buffalo hold at #1, #2 and #5 respectively. Powell is on the outside looking in, but hope to stake a claim in the rankings when they visit #1 Cody on Thursday.
