2020 Mountain View Volleyball Wrap

Mountain View played lights out at the 2020 3A State Tournament and that's saying something considering how competitive 3A was this season. The Buffaloes were a hard-hitting team led by 3 all-state players, Alli Rinker, Kaycee Bugas, and Kamri Hutchings.

In the quarterfinal round of the State Tournament in Casper, Mountain View made quick work of Wheatland 25-17, 25-16, and 25-10. In the semi-finals, the Buffs swept a powerful Douglas team 25-23, 25-20, and 25-22. Needless to say, that was an entertaining match. In the 3A title match, the Buffs defeated Worland in 3 straight, 25-21, 25-18, and 21-20 to cap the year with a 19-8 record.

Mountain View had just 2 seniors on this year's team, including Rinker, and expects to have 5 seniors next year. The Buffaloes may in fact be the team to beat in 2021.
