The Encampment Tigers who entered the 1A Girls State Tournament as a 4 seed, reached the state championship game with a 50-44 win over Little Snake River at Kelly Walsh High School on Friday Night.

Encampment dominated the boards as they outrebounded Snake River 51-26. The Tigers received 17 points and 20 rebounds from Paige Powell and 12 points each from Micaiah Pantle and Noelle Peterson.

Little Snake River was led by Kirstin Gourlay with 19 points but the Rattlers shot just 25% to drop to 21-5 on the year.

Encampment goes to 18-7 and will play St. Stephens on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 at the Casper Events Center.
