LARAMIE, Wyo.-(Nov. 15, 2011)-The University of Wyoming golf program is pleased to announced the addition of four prep student-athletes for the 2012-13 season. The Cowgirls signed Tyler Barker, Kathleen Kershisnik and Kourtney Williams to a National Letter of Intent, while the Cowboys signed Wyoming standout Kamrin Allen.

Allen joins the Cowboy golf program as one of the most decorated players in Wyoming high school golf history. He is a two-time individual Wyoming State Champion in 2010-11. At the 2011 state championship he shot the lowest combined score (-10) in Wyoming State Championship history.

For his championship performances he earned First-Team All-State honors. Adding to his accolades he is a two-time Wyoming junior champion. He has also earned Wyoming Junior Player of the Year honors three times. Allen is a three-time member of the Wyoming Boy's Junior America's Cup team and competed at the US Junior Boy's Amateur National Championship. He also earned a spot in the US Amateur Public Links Championship this past season.

Allen was also recruited by Northern Colorado, South Dakota State and Minnesota. "Kamrin is arguably one of the most decorated high school player we have ever signed," Cowboy head coach Joe Jensen said. "He has a lot of national experience which will help him come in and contribute early for us. He is a very good player who has dominated the regional golf scene lately. He is a great kid that works really hard and I am excited to have him join our program."
