The Thermopolis Bobcats won the 2A Football Championship by defeating the Big Horn Rams 13-9.

Big Horn took the lead on their first possession with a 28 yd field goal which capped off a 60 yd drive and take a 3-0 lead into the second quarter.  Both teams traded turnovers and punts before the Rams tacked on a 36 yd field goal for a 6-0 lead. Then a fumble by Big Horn with 1:22 left in the first half gave Thermopolis the opportunity they needed and the Bobcats took a 7-6 lead on an 8 play, 71 yd drive completed by a 1 yd rushing touchdown from Mitch Syverson.  Big Horn would miss a 52 yd field goal as the first half came to an end.

The third quarter saw each team have about a 50 yd drive without any reward as Thermopolis' Mitch Syverson threw an interception on the Big Horn 1 yd line and Big Horn only made it half way back down the field and punted the ball back to the Bobcats and the third quarter came to a close a couple of plays later with Big Horn still in the lead 7-6.

At the beginning of the fourth quarter Thermopolis punted back to Big Horn and the Rams took the ball 42 yds down the field on 11 plays. Colby Wollenman kicked his third field goal of the day to give his team a 9-7 lead with 6:55 on the clock.  Thermopolis began their march down the field the final lead change came with just 1:03 left in the fourth quarter when Syverson ran into the end zone from 5 yds out. The Bobcats attempt at a 2 pt conversion failed, but they had the 13-9 lead.  They solidified their victory when Kyle Pebbles intercepted Wollenman with 0:38 left in the game, took a couple of knees and the title belonged to the Thermopolis Bobcats.
