Last week, all 4 #1 ranked teams held their spot unanimously. This week only 1 team retains that honor, while another poll has a new #1.

Despite playing in a 0-0 tie last week, the Laramie boys are still #1 in the 4A poll...but #2 Riverton has closed the gap. This week the Plainsmen host both Cheyenne schools, while the Wolverines will face off  at home against their county rivals from 3A Lander, in a #2 vs. #2 battle on Thursday. Sheridan holds at #3 and just took care of business with Gillette. The Broncs have the rest of this week off. Natrona moves up to #4 and have this week off in preparation for next Tuesday's cross-town rivalry game, at home vs. #5 Kelly Walsh, for the Casper Cup. The Trojans stay at #5 could be short lived, because the green and gold, lost vs. East for the second time this season, before the polls closed. KW hosts Central on Thursday.

Buffalo is still the unanimous #1 in Class 3A, and the Bison have this week off to sit on it. Actually, the entire poll is unchanged from last week. As mentioned earlier, #2 Lander will head up Highway 789 on Thursday, to face off against county foe, and #2 4A Riverton, on Thursday. #3 Jackson will start a home-and-home series, this Thursday and next Tuesday against 4A Star Valley, while #4 Cody visits #5 Worland on Thursday, in a northwest divison matchup.

The Central Lady Indians are on fire, and have catapulted their way to the top of the girls 4A poll, after beating the former #1 and #2 teams last week. They are in the middle of a 7-game homestand, which will continue on Thursday, vs. Kelly Walsh, and Saturday vs. #4 Laramie. Despite losing twice last week, Gillette only slipped to #2, and established that position just before the polls closed, by dispatching of #3 Sheridan, back on Tuesday. Both the Lady Camels and Lady Broncs, have the rest of the week off. #4 Laramie has the tough road this week, at #5 East on Thursday, and then at #1 Central on Saturday.

There's only a slight change in the girls 3A poll. Torrington is in at #5, after battling #1 Buffalo to a tie last week on the road. Nothing big is on the schedule this week. The Lady Bison have the week off, while #2 Jackson, will start a home-and-home series vs. 4A Star Valley on Thursday and next Tuesday. #3 Cody will visit Worland for conference business on Thursday, while #4 Lander will join the boys in Riverton, for a Fremont County battle, against the Lady Wolverines. As for the Lady Trailblazers, they'll cross the Nebraska border on Thursday, to face Scottsbluff.
