Buffalo Beats Worland Leaving Both Teams at 3-3 in 3A
Buffalo bounced back from a very tough loss to Douglas as they routed Worland on the road 49-7 in 3A action. The Bison rang up 21 points in the 2nd and 21 more in the 3rd quarter to put the game away. Buffalo entered the contest as the #2 rushing team in 3A with Will Hammond and Dawson Palser leading the way. This was their highest point total of the season.
Buffalo had a solid night running the football and the defense did its job, even though Worland's star quarterback Kade Weber left the game with an injury. The Warrior's lone touchdown came on a pass from backup quarterback Brock Douzenis to Trae Bennett that went for 44 yards. Buffalo shut the door the rest of the way and they won 2 out of 3 to get to 3-3 on the season. The Bison will host Riverton this week.
Worland had lost 2 of 3 and scored 7 points in each of their 3 defeats. The Warriors are also 3-3 overall and they will hit the road for Lander on Friday. Be sure and take a look at some great photos of the Buffalo-Worland game from James Yule. They will be in our gallery below. Enjoy!
