The Buffalo girls basketball program has put together back to back 20 win seasons with a 3rd place finish in 2018-19. The Bison had a tremendous 4th quarter to down Mountain View in the opening round of the State Tournament 51-42. The Bison outscored Mountain View 24-11 in the final stanza and was led in scoring by Eli Olsen with 20 points. Kaydin Davis had 16 with Teaghen Sweekard getting 10 points and 10 rebounds. In the 3A semi-finals, Buffalo had a tough time with Douglas as they fell 62-39. The Bison were outscored in the 4th quarter 19-6 with Davis leading the way with 12. Buffalo ended the season on a high note with a 48-30 win over Powell to take 3rd place. In a balanced offensive effort, Olsen had 14, Davis contributed 12 and Sweekard 10. Davis averaged 16 points a game and was named all-state. Olsen threw in 10 per game and was also an all-state selection. Olsen was one of four seniors on the team but Davis returns as a senior next season.
