Erickson Resigns in Douglas

Ron Erickson, Head Boys Basketball Coach at Douglas High School has resigned.  After 31years of coaching, (26 years in Wyoming) and the past 12 in Douglas, Coach Erickson has decided to step down as the Bearcats Coach.

Coach Erickson's Bearcats won the State Championship in 2002.

Ron has a Wyoming record of 418-205 while at Arvada-Clearmont, Upton, and Douglas.  His record in Douglas was 218-98.  The 2006-2007 Douglas Bearcats hold the school record for most wins in a season with 24.   In Wyoming his teams have accumulated 12 Conference Championships, 9 - 2^nd place finishes at Regionals, 9 Regional Championships, and 1 State Championship.  They have finished in the top three at the State Tournament 9 times.

In 31 years of coaching, Ron has been named Conference Coach of the Year 12 times.
