High School Spring Rodeo Season – Week 3
After having last week off, cowboys and cowgirls are ready to ride in Newcastle this weekend.
Here are the winners from the Rock Springs rodeo which was held 2 weeks ago. Saturday’s winner is listed first, followed by Sunday’s winner.

Barrel Racing: Cassidy Kruse (Gillette) and Teal Stoll (Pavillion)
Breakaway Roping: Emily Faber (Rozet) and Faith Carson (Arvada)
Bull Riding: Drew Antone (Kinnear) and Zachary Osborne (Lander)
Goat Tying: K.L. Spratt (Lysite) and Jamie Thompson (Whitney, NE)
Pole Bending: Teal Stoll (Pavillion) won both days.
Saddle Broncs: J.W. Meiers (Mills) and Mason Rockafellow (Clearmont)
Steer Wrestling: Kade Greer (Gillette) with no Sunday winner
Tie Down Calf Roping: Bailey Young (Gillette) and J.W. Thrush (Gillette)
Team Roping Saturday: Ameila McGuire (Wheatland) and J.W. Thrush (Gillette)
Team Roping Sunday: Weston Mann (Sheridan) and Austin Eller (Glendo)
The top 4 in each event at the end of the season are invited to compete at the High School National Finals Rodeo, to be held in Rock Springs in July.
