Sheridan high school is searching for a new head boys basketball coach.

Sheridanmedia.com reports that after 8 seasons in Sheridan, Mike Ibach has decided to step down for family reasons.   He has a son that is a sophomore and a daughter in elementary school.  He lamented that his oldest daughter, who is finished with her high school career, got shorted by him and doing what he loved to do.

He’s coached 27 years total winning state titles in Newcastle and Thermopolis before taking on the Broncs job in Sheridan.   This year his team won the East conference crown, was second at regionals and played for third at state.    Sheridan AD Don Julian will start the search to replace Ibach soon.
