Spearfish and Laramie hosted the first indoor track and field events of the year.

 

 

 

 

The first indoor track and field events went down in Laramie and Spearfish this weekend.  At Laramie,  Lady Plainsmen runner Cassidy Meade won the and the 800.   Natrona's Lacey Slominski won the shot put and the weight throw.   For the boys, Laramie's Josh Henry won the 400, the 800,  and the 1600.   Green River's Kolby Kester won the hurdles and the 55 meters.  AJ Montanez of Lovell won both of the throws.     In the team standings, Laramie would sweep both titles.

 

At Rapid City, KW's Taylor Hockley won the 55 and the 200 meters.   Emily Lesmeister of Thermopolis won the triple and long jumps.   Gillette's Audra Destafano won the 800 and 1600.    For the boys, Gillette sophomore Tischun Aipperspach won the 55 and the 200.    Kelly Walsh's Caleb Romsa won the high jump and the triple jump.    No team scores were kept.
