POSSIBLE SWIMMERS TO RECOGNIZE: We added another person to our state roster!

TAYLOR GRAUE (FRESHMAN)- Taylor qualified in the 100 breast on Friday of this weekend. Her time of 1:23.83 was good for 4th place. She has been right on the edge for the whole season. It’s great to see her get over the hump.

SARINA SCOTT (SENIOR)- Sarina added another event to her state list today. She swam the 500 free and qualified with a time of 6:29.03 (2nd place). She has been working so hard in practice. It’s great to see her hard work pay off and see her get another event.

HANNAH COLLINS (SOPHOMORE)- Hannah has been having a good year in the pool. Friday she swam the 200 free (time: 2:43.75; place: 10th) and the 500 free (time: 7:06.30; place: 8th). She has been working really hard. It’s nice to see it paying off for her.

SARA VOGEL (SENIOR)- Sara has also been having a good season. Friday she swam the 100 free (time: 1:14.55; place: 10th) and the 100 back (time: 1:25.79; place: 6th). Sara has been battling illness for much of the season. It’s nice to see her healthy in the water again.

COACH’S COMMENTS: “We had a really fun weekend! Lyman was a long way to go, but we always swim well in their pool. In addition to that, we got another qualifier. That makes the whole trip worth it. Taylor did a great job.

Saturday was a very unusual meet. We divided our team into half and so did Sublette County. We then combined half of our team with half of theirs and swam a “Scramble” meet. It was a lot of fun because everyone just ended up cheering for everyone. After the meet, the girls swam in Pinedale’s leisure pool for a while before enjoying a pizza party together. It was a fun way to finish out homecoming week for our girls.

Looking at Conference next week, I know that our girls are going to have their work cut out for them. I expect all the teams will be ready to go. However, I know our girls will be. They have been working hard the whole season and now they can see how much their hard work can pay off. I think our biggest competition will be Lander, of course. However, they will come ready to go. I think that the team that is going to win is going to be the team that shows up to swim well two days in a row. It will be an exciting meet!”

NEXT MEET: Our Conference Meet is Friday and Saturday, October 14-15 in Cody
