The most intriguing 2A Boys match of the first round of the state tournament featured 20-3 Big Horn taking in 19-5 Lovell.

In a back and forth game, Lovell used a late surge to get by Big Horn 61-53 to secure a spot in the semi-finals.

The contest that featured 43 fouls, and Lovell outscored Big Horn by 6 in the final quarter thanks to 15 points from Brandon Teter who was 10-12 from the free throw line.

Riley Abrahamn added 14 for the Bulldogs.

Big Horn got 15 points from Colton Bates and 11 from Wheaton Williams but the Rams shot just 34% from the floor.

Lovell will play Friday night at 9pm in the 2A semi-finals at the Events Center.

Big Horn will be in the consolation round at 1:30.
