Michaela Hiwalker of Wyo. Indian Signs with NW Indian College

Wyoming Indian basketball player Micheala Hiwalker will continue her athletic journey at Northwest Indian College in Bellingham, Washington. Hiwalker at 5-7, played a critical role on the Lady Chiefs squad that finished 3rd at the 2A State Tournament with a record of 24-3. She was named to the 2A All-Conference team in the 2023-24 season, averaging 2.6 points per game and 2.3 rebounds per game.

Hilwalker also competed in track and field and her Wyoming Indian 4x400 relay team placed 9th at the 2024 State Outdoor Track Meet with a time of 4.43.77. She also ran on the Chiefs 1600 Sprint Medley relay team that placed 11th at the State Meet in 2024 with a clocking of 5.14.20

Northwest Indian College is a Division II school that competes in the American Indian Higher Education Consortium.
