Other Wyoprep Athletes Drafted Into MLB
Former Jackson Giants player Tim Shibuya, was picked in the 23rd round by the Minnesota Twins. He played college baseball at UC-San Diego.

Congratulations to former Rider Ryan Hutchison for being selected in the 49th round of the MLB Draft by the San Diego Padres!! He was the 1,493 pick. Hutchison was taken with the 22nd pick of the 49th round and was the 1,493rd player selected overall. The Gillette, WY, native was the everyday right fielder for the Hilltoppers this season. He finished the year with a .279 batting average, a team-high 18 doubles and five home runs. Hutchison drove in 41 runs and posted a .433 slugging percentage with a .976 fielding percentage. He finished the season with 21 multi-hit games and added 10 multi-RBI games.
