PhotoFest: Pine Bluffs Makes it 3 for 3 in 9-Man Football

Pine Bluffs won the 1A 9-Man state championship back in 2022 and certainly has the talent to make a nice playoff run this year. The Hornets have been putting some major points on the scoreboard through 3 games, including a 42-10 road win over Wright on Friday

It was an eventful first quarter with Pine Bluffs recording a safety and a Jesus Solis touchdown run from 18 yards out. The 2-point try was good giving the Hornets a 10-0. Wright responded with a touchdown as Jackson Robb had a 42-yard pick-six to cut the gap to 10-7. PB quarterback Carsten Freeburg added a 5-yard run to the end zone so after one quarter of play, the Hornets led 16-7.

In the 2nd quarter, Justin Lerwick unleashed a 13-yard run for a TD for Pine Bluffs with Wright answering with a field goal so it was 22-10 at the break. The Hornets put the game away in the 3rd quarter with a 53-yard touchdown run by Solis and a 22-yard run to the house from Travis Lerwick. Ryan Mohren added a 10-yard scoring run to conclude the scoring for Pine Bluffs.
