The Rawlins girls basketball team posted 19 wins this past season thanks to a couple of all-state players. Olyvia Pacheco and McKenzie Earl attained that status by averaging 14 and 12 points respectively. Throw in Brooklyn Arnold who averaged 10 points a game and this was a formidable group. Plus senior Miranda Wagner was a key component. At the 3A State Tournament, the Outlaws lost a heartbreaking 51-50 decision to Powell in a game where they trailed by as many as 10 points. Pacheco had 21 points to lead the team in scoring while Wagner had a dozen. Rawlins did bounce back in the consolation round with a 55-40 win over Torrington with Arnold turning in 18 points and Pacheco 15 plus 11 rebounds. The Outlaws ended up taking 6th at state with a 41-39 loss to Mountain View with Wagner and Brook Palmer throwing in 9 each. The team does lose Pacheco, Arnold, and Wagner to graduation but they can build around Earl and Palmer for next season.
