Wyoming High School Rodeo

Hadley Thompson scored in five events, and Turek Thompson finished in the top three in the average of two events at the Johnson County Fairgrounds.

The contestants were aiming for a spot at the National Finals coming up next month in Rock Springs

The State Finals for Wyoming High School Rodeo are Thursday through Saturday at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Buffalo.

The 2-day event at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds was the next to last regular season rodeo.

Condos has finished in the top 15 all three years of his high school career in team roping.

The contestants were ready to go!

Yoder’s Hadley Thompson had quite the high school rodeo season and received the first WyoPreps Athlete of the Year award for Girls Rodeo.

The first WyoPreps Athlete of the Year award for Boys’ Rodeo, presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming and Wyld Gear, goes to Gillette’s Keyton Hayden.

The selections were Sheridan's Abagail Olson, Wheatland trap shooter Jessie Graves, and Evanston Outlaws baseball player Walker Wilson.

A pair of hard-working rodeo athletes earned The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming WyoPreps Athlete of the Week awards.
