Lander basketball player Trayshon Spoonhunter has landed a spot with the Dakota State basketball program. Spoonhunter had a terrific senior season with the Tigers averaging 13 points per game while shooting 39% from the floor from the 3 point line and 72% from the free-throw line. He was named all-state in 3A and was also named the 2020 Fremont County Player of the Year.

in his junior season, Lander won the 3A state title and Spoonhunter averaged 10 points a game and shot 38% from the land of 3 and 81% from the free-throw line. His Tiger teams went 45-8 over the course of the last 2 seasons.

Dakota State is an NAIA Division II school in Madison, South Dakota.
