There are 2 new #1's on top of the girls basketball poll, heading into the last big weekend, before the winter break.

Natrona takes over the #1 spot in Class 4A after winning at Gillette. The Lady Camels fall to #3, while Sheridan is up to #2.  Laramie and East hold steady at #4 and #5. NC is at home this weekend vs. Billings, MT West and Billings, MT Skyview. The remaining top 5 teams will be in Green River at the Flaming Gorge Invitational. Unranked Evanston has a tough first day, as the Lady Red Devils will play BOTH #3 Gillette and #5 East, and then Saturday they play #2 Sheridan. Gillette along with Laramie get to play #5 3A Star Valley.

All the 3A excitement this weekend will be in Lander at the East-West Invite. The top 4 ranked teams (Douglas, Cody, Wheatland, and Torrington) will all be present. #2 Cody will have 2 huge challenges right off the bat. The Fillies play new #1 Douglas on Friday afternoon, then #3 Wheatland on Saturday morning. #5 Star Valley will in Green River at the Flaming Gorge Invitation in Green River, and will play #4 4A Laramie on Friday and #3 4A Gillette on Saturday. On a side note, all 3 of Worland's games at the East-West Invitational in Lander, will count as conference games (Wheatland, Rawlins, Torrington).

There was very little change in the 2A poll. Lovell, Tongue River and Pine Bluffs hold at #1, #2 and #3. Big Horn takes #4 away from now #5 Wyoming Indian. Both TR and BH visit Ethete this weekend.

Not much going on in the 1A ranks this weekend. Little Snake River is still #1, while Burlington moves up to #2, bumping defending champ Cokeville down to #3. Guernsey is still at #4 and Farson-Eden is back in the poll at #5.
