Wrestling started this weekend around the state.

Four tournaments in Wyoming got the mat season started.   One big one went down in Billings that was won by Gillette.    Look below for results.

 

Evanston Invite:

Cheyenne East won the EI with 192 points.  Star Valley was 2nd with 145.   Riverton finished fourth with 122.

BLAZER DUALS in Torrington:
Douglas won the Blazer duals in Torrington.   The host Blazers were second with Cheyenne South Third.

Powell Athletic Roundtable:

Powell won their own two day invitational.

Southeast JV Invite:

GIllette wins Billings Invite:

Gillette has now won the Billings tourney four straight years and six of the last seven. With five individual champions and three runner-ups, the Camels finished with 260.5 points. Second-place West, which finished with 251 points, led Gillette 240-232 entering the finals.

The quick-pin winner was 152-pounder Kris Miller of Gillette, who had a first-round pin in nine seconds. Two outstanding wrestlers were named. At 98 to 135 pounds, the award went to Trent Olson (112) of Gillette.
