Wrestling Results Dec 8-10

Rapid City Invite:

Gillette won the 30 team invite at Rapid City, their second team title in as many weeks out of state.  Gillette scored 184 to hold off 2nd place Pierre, SD, with 178.5.   SD powerhouse Sturgis was third with 174.    Worland finished tied for 7th with Powell 9th.     Natrona and Sheridan tied for 16th.   Thermopolis tied for 23rd,  Buffalo was 27th.

Individually,  Clay Carter of Sheridan won at 132 pounds.   He was the OW at Powell last week.   Tanner Olson,  the OW at Billings last week for Gillette, won the 160 pound division.   Burke Burgess of Gillette also won at 182, while Colter Bently of Natrona won the heavy weight division.

Cheyenne East hosted their annual Charlie Lake invite.     Douglas held on to win the team title with 168 points.    The host team was 2nd as the Thunderbirds scored 150.   Central finished 3rd.  Individually, Central would win three individual titles while the Bearcats of Douglas won two.

Lusk held an invite that saw Newcastle win the team title.  The Dogies only won 1 weight class, but placed enough in the top places to win it.   Glenrock finished 2nd winning 3 titles.
