Three teams in the 2A Boys East Regional track meet broke 100 points and that's pretty impressive. Big Horn rang up 209 points for 1st, Glenrock had 149 for 2nd and Wright posted 101 for 3rd. . Alec Penfield of Lusk went 5-10 to win the high jump,KC Kreiter from Wright leaped 21-4 to win the long jump and he took the podium in the triple jump going 40 feet 6 inches, His teammate Dax Yerardi cleared 14 feet to win the pole vault and won that event by a wide margin. Seth Mullinax of Big Horn tossed 48 feet 6 and a quarter to win the shot put while Wright senior Logan Robb chucked the discus 149-2 to win the discus. On the track, Tucker Bopp of Glenrock really put on a show by winning all three of the sprints. He posted a winning time of 11;14 in the 100 meter dash, 22.54 in the 200 and 50.7 in the 400. Kyler Ostler of Big Horn swept the hurdle events. He clocked 15.03 in the 110 and 41,48 in the 300. Over in the distance races, Big Horn's Nathaniel Lydic placed first in the 800, crossing the line in 2.02.03. His teammate, Noah Harvey ran 4.56.29 to take the 1600 while Hunter Skeens of Sundance clocked 10.49.81 to win the 3200 meters. Finally in the sprint races, Glenrock won the 4x100 and the 4x800 with Big Horn capturing the 4x400 and the sprint medley. Enjoy our short video we have of that regional meet.
