The Big Horn Rams took 2nd at the State Track Meet in 2A a year, This year, they may take the next logical step forward. After 2 days of competition, the Rams have accumulated 98 points with Wright running 2nd with 61.5 and Rocky Mountain 3rd with 49.5. Big Horn's Liam Greenelsh won the triple jump with a leap of 43-08, his teammate Garrett Custis took 3rd and Kade Van Dyken placed 4th. Greenelsh was on fire as he also won the gold in the long jump at 22-2.75. His teammate Seth Mullinax captured the shot put with a winnning throw of 48-4.5 In the high jump, Alec Penfield of Lusk topped the field going 6 feet even. On the track, there was a photo finish in the 800 as Rocky Mountain's Sklyer Drewes rallied down the stretch to nip Nathaniel Lydic of Big Horn with a winning time of 2.03.73.
