The State Cross Country meet was held at Little America in Cheyenne this year and in 4A Boys, the star of the show was Star Valley's Jase Burton. He dominated the field with a State Championship time of 15.46.06 and just this past week, he competed in the huge NikeCross National Meet in Portland and took 17th with a time of 15.45.1 which earned him All-American Status.

Burton's teammates Habtamu Wetzel and Colton Cranny finished 2nd and 3rd at the State meet as the Braves won the team State Championship by a wide margin. Kelly Walsh was 2nd and Natrona 3rd.

Over in 3A Boys, Trajn Swalstad of Worland capped an amazing season with a State Championship with a clocking of 16.08.0 with Buffalo's Zack Freise and Ethan Rayo taking 2nd and 3rd. Worland won the team State Championship by a single point over Buffalo with Mountain View 3rd.

Finally in 2A Boys, Jadeth Elder of Thermopolis outdueled the field for the State Title with a time of 17.43.8. Tobyn Teigen of Wright placed 2nd and Howard McNiven of Burlington 3rd. Wyoming Indian took home the team State Championship by a single point over Burlington with Thermopolis 3rd.
