Tuesday Track Highlights:

Lusk sprinter Jerit DeGering was invited to participate in the Special 400 Meter Dash at the Black Hills Classic in Sturgis.  The meet was to be held on Saturday, but, weather forced it to Tuesday.    The Meet invited the top 400 runners from North Dakota, South Dakota and Jerit was lone invite from Wyoming. The field included 400 runners from Spearfish, Sturgis, Hill City, Watford City, ND, Phillip, Pierre, Rapid City Central.     Jerit ran a 50.4 and placed first.

Monday:

Two records fell and another was tied at the Wyoming Track Classic in Casper Yesterday.   Rawlins speedster Kereston Thomas won the three sprints setting new meet records in the 100 and the 400.  The 200 came down to a photo finish with Jerayah Davis, a freshman, from Kelly Walsh.

The record that was tied was that of the girls high jump where hunter vineyard of tongue river matched the 5’7 previous record.

Other highlights saw Kyle Sullivan of Powell won both boys hurdle events while Douglas Sprinter Justin Melton won the 100 and 200.

Track today as the Trojan Tuesday invite.  That was the Casper invite that was moved from Saturday.   More track is on Wednesday with the Lynn Williams Invite in Jackson and  there are FIVE meets on the slate for Thursday.
