High School Rodeo Spring Season – Week 2

After an off week, cowboys and cowgirls will compete this weekend in Laramie.

Breakaway Roping: Hayli Bonham - Laramie

Bull Riding: Cody Culver - Casper

Goat Tying: Shana Lyons - Lander

Pole Bending: Shyann Lucas - Jackson

Saddle Broncs: Ryan Ellenson - Gillette

Steer Wrestling: Cutter DeHart - Laramie

Team Roping: Misty Ballek (Clearmont) and Trent Kelly (Sheridan)

Tie Down Calf Roping: Dusty Moore - Douglas

Boys Cutting: Colby Thurston -Lance Creek

Girls Cutting: Taylor Rieniets - Gillette

The top 4 in each event after the WY High School Rodeo Finals, qualify for the High School National Finals Rodeo, to be held in Gillette, in July.

High School Spring Rodeo Season Starts This Weekend

Now that spring has arrived, high school athletes can either kick the soccer ball around, compete at a track and field meet, break out the bat, ball and glove...or remember that they live in Wyoming, and saddle up for a rodeo!

Gable to Speak to WCA

The Wyoming Coaches Association would like to announce that Dan Gable, former Iowa Hawkeye coach and Olympic Gold Medalist will be speaking during Clinic Week  2011.  Coach Gable will be at the clinic on Friday, July 22nd @ 8:30am
