The Lady Thunderbirds pressed on with their attack, and eventually wore down the Lady Trojans' defense, with 3 2nd half goals.

She's here from Ethiopia...and already has a passion for being behind the wheel. Someone can't wait to be 16. Patience little one.

#2 Cheyenne East at Kelly Walsh...first half...East wearing the black...Rachel Erickson...last year's Gatorade Player of the Year...slips a shot off of the goalie's finger tips and it's in for a score...she and her team-mates would attack the net often, and sooner or later...a few shots were going to get past...the score is 1-to-nothing.

On the other end...Kelly Walsh had a few moments here and there...however, Ashton Brodahl was doing a good job of stopping the up close shots...and then the defense would come to the rescue, when things got too crowded in front of the net, and they would get their goalie out of a jam.

This highlight was by far the best shot that the Lady Trojans had...Brodahl can not hang on to the ball...she's out of place...the net is wide open...Ali Green has a perfect opportunity to strike...and over-shot the target...she got a little too excited and I think she's knows it. So the score would remain 1-zip going into halftime.

Second half...The Lady Thunderbirds with a penalty kick try...and what you think happened...did not...Rachel Erickson's shot hits the goal-post...comes right back to her...and she would lighten up on the putback try and score easily...but...that was a double kick. On a free kick or a penalty kick...the kicker can not touch the ball a second time...until someone else touches the ball in between kicks...no goal, and she eventually figured out her no-no.

A couple of minutes later though...the visitors would strike again, and this time the double kick rule could not stop them...Makenzie Drake's shot hits the same goal-post...Morgan Burke will rush in to knock in the rebound...that would relieve some frustration...now things are starting to click...and the score is 2-nil.

The defending 4A state champs were after more...and this time...some other family members got involved....Drake to Sarah Erickson...to Jessie Erickson...and someone has been learning from her older siblings...that could not have gone any better...it's now a 3-nothing game.

East was wearing out their opponents...and when that happens...scoring opportunities present themselves eventually....great ball handling by Abby Morillon...she'll outmaneuver 3 defenders...squeeze a shot through them and by the time the goalie realized it...it was too late. Another insurance goal...although the Lady Thunderbirds had this game in the bag a long time ago...they would go on to win...4-nil.
