Girls Soccer: 4A Regionals and 3A State Qualifying Matchups and Results 2014

We already know half of the teams that have qualified for the state tournament.

Time to find out which remaining teams are worthy to be considered the other half.

4A East at Gillette:

Sheridan wins tie-breaker over East for #2 seed, due to allowing fewer goals in conference games…7-9.

#1 Laramie and #2 Sheridan have earned a first round bye, and have automatically qualified for the state tournament.

Thursday, May 15th:

#3 Cheyenne East 7 #6 Cheyenne South 0 - South Eliminated. East qualifies for the state tournament.

#4 Gillette 2 #5 Cheyenne Central 0 - Central Eliminated. Gillette qualifies for the state tournament.

Friday, May 16th:

East 3 #2 Sheridan 1

Gillette 2 #1 Laramie 0

Saturday, May 17th:

Laramie 2 Sheridan 0 - 3rd Place Game

East 5 Gillette 0 - Championship

4A West at Riverton:

Kelly Walsh wins tie-breaker over Natrona for #2 seed, due to allowing fewer goals in conference games…9-13.

Riverton wins tie-breaker over Rock Springs for #4 seed, because the Lady Wolverines won the first head-to-head game vs. the Lady Tigers, and the second game ended in a tie.

#1 Green River and #2 Kelly Walsh have earned a first round bye, and have automatically qualified for the state tournament.

Thursday, May 15th:

#3 Natrona 5 #6 Evanston 0 - Evanston Eliminated. Natrona qualifies for the state tournament.

#5 Rock Springs 1 #4 Riverton 0 - Riverton Eliminated. Rock Springs qualifies for the state tournament.

Friday, May 16th:

#2 Kelly Walsh 2 Natrona 1

#1 Green River 2 Rock Springs 1

Saturday, May 17th:

Rock Springs 1 Natrona 0 - 3rd Place Game

Kelly Walsh 2 Green River 1 - Championship

3A Qualifying Games at Lander:

The first place teams in each quadrant (Buffalo, Lander, Worland, and Star Valley), are already in the state tournament, and do not play this weekend.

The winners qualify for the state tournaments.

The losers are done for the season.

Saturday, May 17th:

(#2 NE) Newcastle 2 (#3 SW) Pinedale 0 - Newcastle plays Worland at State Tournament.

(#3NW) Powell 1 (#2 SE) Torrington 0 - Powell plays Buffalo at State Tournament.
