It's been a challenging season for the Rock Springs football team but the Tigers have clawed their way into the 4A playoffs with a 21-14 road win over Laramie on Friday night. Laramie drew first blood in the 2nd quarter on a 7-yard run for a touchdown from Fisher Frude. Rock Springs came right back with a touchdown pass from Michael Faigl to Kyle Cahill to tie the contest at 7 all.

Rock Springs took the lead in the 3rd quarter as Faigl hooked up with Goodness Okerke for 80 yards and a TD to put the Tigers in front 14-7. Bryce Coombs added to the Rock Springs lead in the 4th quarter with a 5-yard run to the end zone to bump the lead to 21-7. Laramie inched closer as Frude threw a touchdown pass to Max Alexander so just like that it was 21-14. But that was as close as the Plainsmen would get.

Rock Springs is 3-5 and will host Cheyenne Central on Friday. The winner will be the #6 seed in the 4A playoffs and the loser will be the 7th seed. Laramie will not qualify for the playoffs as they sit at 0-8 and will conclude the regular season on Friday at winless Cheyenne South.
