The annual Wiseman Invite was held in Torrington on Friday with warm temperatures which was nice, but with some breezy conditions. On the boy's side, Richard Prescott Cheyenne Central had quite a meet, winning 3 events. He placed first in the triple jump at 43-4.5, 2nd in the long jump at 21-2.5, first in the 110 hurdles in 15.56, and first in the 300 hurdles in 41.54. That was a pretty good day at the office.

Also on the boy's side, Cheyenne East sprinter Marik Cummings took the tape in the 100 and the 200 with times of 10.83 and 22.42 respectively. Rodee Brow of Wheatland also won 2 events, running 49.85 in the 400 and clearing 14 feet to win the pole vault. In the boy's distance races, Torrington's Aiden Loya won the 800 in 2.04.42, Central's Tristan Knueppel took the 1600 meter run in 4.34.97 with his teammate Bridger Brokaw taking the 3200 in 9.54.78. He was the only runner in the field to break the 10-minute mark. Knueppel by the way has the best mark in the state in the 1600 in 4.24.70.

Wheatland won the boy's 4x100 relay, Laramie won the 4x400, and the sprint medley with Cheyenne East taking the 4x800. In the rest of the field events for the guys, Kade Preuit of Wheatland cleared 5-10 to win the high jump,  Ben Fuller of Torrington had a leap of 21-7.25 to win the long jump, his teammate Ryan Baker won the discus at 155 feet event with Quade Jordan of Encampment winning the shot-put at 50-3.

In the boy's team standings at the Wiseman meet, Cheyenne Central was first with 173, Cheyenne East 2nd with 131, and Laramie 3rd with 104.5

On the girl's side of the Torrington meet, Taliah Morris of Cheyenne East continues her solid season with wins in the 100 and the 200. She ran 12.32 in the 100 and 25.56 in the 200. The 400-meter dash winner was Sydney Morrell of Cheyenne Central in 1.00.17. In the distance races, Kaya Pillivant placed 1st in the 800 in 2.23.18, Sydney Morrell of Central won her 2nd event of the meet with a win in the 1600 meter run in 5.18.21. Emma Gonzoles of Burns took the 3200 in 12.25.75. Cheyenne Central Madisyn Baillie who has the top time in the state in the 100 hurdles, won that event in Torrington in 15.63. Bailey Haley of Cheyenne East ran 49.80 to win the 300 hurdles.

In the relay races, East won the 4x100m Laramie the 4x400, and Central took the 4x800 and the 1600 medley. Over in the field events, chalk up another win for Madisyn Baillie as she cleared 5-1 to win the high jump, Central's Karson Tempel went 16-11.25 to place first in the long jump, Katie Thomson of Central went 34-10 to win the triple jump with her teammate Brinkley Lewis clearing 10-6 to take the gold in the pole vault. In the weight events, Reece Halley of Torrington won the discus in 128-10 with Clara Kerschner of East throwing 32-10-5 to win the shot.

Cheyenne Central placed first in the team standings with 169.5, East 2nd with 126.5, and Torrington 3rd with 114.5. Take a look at our video from the Torrington track meet as well as our collection of pics in our gallery below. Enjoy!
