Earlier this season, Riverton basketball player Parker Paxton recorded his 1000th point in his career joining some elite company in school history. His two older brothers also rang up 1000+ points in their prep careers so what Parker has accomplished is no surprise whatsoever.

Paxton did this with a 23-point game vs. Cheyenne East in December and this season he has been averaging 19.7 points per game which is 2nd in 4A. He's shooting at a 52% clip from two-point range and is the reigning Wyoming Boys Gatorade Player of the Year. In the 2022-23 season, Paxton threw in 18 points per game as the Wolverines went 21-6.

He's a terrific all-around athlete and is a four-time state champion golfer who has signed with the University of Colorado for that sport.
