Caleb Kilbride of Tongue River is one of the state's finest all-around athletes and will be taking his skills to Dakota Wesleyan in Mitchell, South Dakota. He'll play football and basketball for the Tigers as a shining example of his versatility.

In his senior season in football with Tongue River, he caught 29 passes as a receiver for 496 yards and 5 touchdowns.  He had 8 catches for 118 yards and a TD vs. Thermopolis and 4 catches for 98 yards and a score vs. Upton-Sundance. He was in on 45 tackles on defense and a pair of interceptions. He was named 2A All-State as a senior and named All-State as a junior with 25 grabs for 4-7 yards and 8 touchdowns. Kilbride recorded 50 tackles on defense with 3 recovered fumbles and 2 picks.

Over in basketball, Kilbride enjoyed a solid season as he averaged 17 points a game and shot 53% from the floor. His season high was 34 points vs. Big Piney and was a 2A All-State selection. He averaged 13 points a game in his junior and was named All-State in 2A, connecting on 55% of his shots 2-point land.

Kilbride also has made a name for himself in track and field. This season, he won 4 events at the Buffalo Meet, taking both hurdle races plus the high jump and triple jump. He also won both the 110 and 300 hurdles in the Sheridan meet. In his junior at the 2A State Outdoor Championships, he won the state title in the long jump at 21-00.25, he placed 3rd in the triple jump at 41-8.75, 3rd in the 110 hurdles in 16.05, and 5th in the high jump at 5-10.

In his sophomore season in track, Kilbride was 2nd at the 2A State Meet in the 110 hurdles in 16.26, 5th in the 300 hurdles in 43.89, 6th in the triple jump at 40-2.50 and 7th in the high jump, clearing 5-8.

Dakota Wesleyan is an NAIA institution that competes in the Great Plains Athletic Conference.
